Privacy notice
Last updated 26 October 2026
1. Who is responsible
This notice covers jlg.ro and the emails you send us. J.L.G. Consulting S.R.L. (CUI 15732578), Bd. Iuliu Maniu 7, 2nd floor, Sector 6, 061072 Bucharest, Romania, is responsible for both.
It does not cover the software we build and support for clients: each client's contract governs the data in those systems. SkyRoster, our product, has its own privacy notice on skyroster.com.
For a privacy request, write to contact@jlg.ro with “Privacy” in the subject.
2. What we collect and why
Emails you send us. When you write to contact@jlg.ro, we receive your email address, your name if your email shows it, and what you write. We use them to reply, to deal with your enquiry and to prepare anything you ask us for. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR); where you ask us to take steps towards a contract, it is Article 6(1)(b). Writing to us does not subscribe you to anything.
Please do not send credentials, confidential operational data or personal data about other people by email. If an engagement needs such data, we agree first how it is transferred and protected.
Visiting the website. Microsoft Azure hosts the website. To deliver its pages and keep the service secure, Azure processes technical request data, such as your IP address, browser details and the time of each request. We do not use it to identify visitors. The basis is our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site (Article 6(1)(f)).
No statistics or advertising. The website runs no visitor statistics, advertising or tracking tools.
Your preferences. If you choose a light or dark appearance, your browser remembers the choice. It never leaves your device. The cookies page explains it.
3. Who receives it
Authorised JLG Consulting staff read the emails sent to contact@jlg.ro. Microsoft provides our email, through Microsoft 365, and hosts the website, through Azure.
Microsoft may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where it does, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision or on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Ask us for the details.
We may disclose information to professional advisers, or to authorities where the law requires it or to establish or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data, and we make no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. How long we keep it
We keep an email for as long as we need it to reply, to run any work that follows and to meet our legal obligations, and then delete it. Contracts and invoices follow Romania's statutory retention periods. Ask us how long a particular record is kept.
5. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, for its correction or erasure, or for its use to be restricted, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Where the conditions apply, you can ask for a copy in a portable format. These rights have legal conditions and limits, such as records we must keep by law.
Write to contact@jlg.ro. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we normally reply within one month. You can also complain to Romania's data protection authority, ANSPDCP, or to the authority where you live; you do not need to contact us first.
6. Changes to this notice
When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
